Lovran, Croatia is a town with a long and diverse history, and with a hundred-year-old tradition of tourism. It is considered to be one of the most elite resorts on the Croatian coast. Lovran got its name after the laurel, which grows abundantly in evergreen groves in the town and in the surrounding areas. Lovran has preserved its historical core and medieval city plan.
